Better Tuition Academy (BTA) is a premium private tutoring provider established in Sydney, Australia in 2015. Operating five academies across Sydney's Northern Beaches and North Shore, in Belrose, Brookvale, Forestville, Mona Vale, and Gordon.
BTA delivers one-on-one tutoring for students in Years 3 to 12.
Subjects include Mathematics, English, HSC preparation, NAPLAN coaching, Selective School Test preparation, and specialist support for neurodiverse learners with ADHD, dyslexia, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Where should lessons take place?
Lessons can take place at one of our five academies, online via Microsoft Teams, or in your home, all at the same rate.
We recommend starting in-academy, because our Brookvale, Belrose, Forestville, Mona Vale and Gordon academies offer quiet, purpose-built spaces where students learn and thrive. Online and in-home lessons are available pending tutor availability, at no extra cost.
What is the ideal length of lessons?
Most students do best with 60-minute lessons, with 45 minutes suiting younger primary students and up to 90 minutes for HSC subjects.
For Years 3-6 we recommend 45 or 60 minute sessions for optimal focus. Years 7-10 students benefit from 60-minute sessions to explore topics in depth, and Years 11-12 students often choose 60 to 90 minute sessions for advanced subjects and exam preparation.
How often should my child have tutoring?
We recommend at least one lesson per week, because consistency is key to academic progress. Weekly sessions reinforce understanding, help with homework and keep students on top of schoolwork.
Students who need extra support may benefit from more frequent lessons, and fortnightly options are available, although progress is typically slower.
